Monthly Board Meetings:
The board of directors will continue to meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month. However, the time has changed from 7:30 to 5:30 p.m.
NSSA League Info:
Deadline to join the league passed on March 15th. All targets must be completed by August 31, 2008.
Sporting Clays Grand Opening:
Saturday, February 16 was a beautiful day for the grand opening of our sporting clays course. It was a sunny day with temperatures in the 60's. Rick Hemmingway came out in advance and changed the course - to add more fun to those who have previously shot it. Over 55 rounds were shot. Sporting clays enthusiasts from different parts of S.C. attended the grand opening including Columbia, Beaufort and Hemmingway. We were very pleased to have guests from The Sanctuary in Kiawah participate as well. Our on-site Chef, Mike Fields of Mike's Catering did the cooking - he can even make hotdogs and hamburgers taste like being served at a 5-star restaurant - thanks Mike!
We also want to thank Rick Hemmingway of Back Woods for installing the sporting clays courses and helping us with our grand opening. It was a very successful event.
LowCounty Young Guns
We have started the youth shooting team for 2008. We will be shooting on Thursday, March 13 and March 27 starting around 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. They shoot 4 rounds of trap at the 16 yd line. We are going to hold a BBQ/Fun Shoot fundraiser for the youth team at the club on Saturday, March 29th at 11:00 a.m. More details will be made available within the next week. If you know of a youth who is interested in shooting, please come out and join us or contact Mike Fields at 200-4109. We encourage boys and girls between the ages of 10 and 21 to come out and participate. We currently have a trap team but are also looking to start a youth skeet team. You can support us by becoming a sponsor, a donor or come out on March 29 and enjoy some BBQ and fun shooting.
