Friday Night - Skeet & Eat

Kick-off will be Friday, November 16th  then continuing every other Friday (check the calendar for dates).  We are going to try a new format for our Friday night get togethers - known from this point on as 'Skeet & Eat'.  Here's the way it will work.  The Club will prepare dinner.  Cost of the dinners will vary from $5 - $7 depending on the meal to cover the cost of the food.  Of course anyone wishing to bring any dish or desert to add to the meal is more than welcome to do so!  We love our sweets!  Menus will be posted on the calendar on the website 2 weeks in advance.

As for the shooting portion of the evening - here's the way it will work.  Each shooter puts $5 in the pot.  Your targets should be put on your blue sheets.  There will be numbers from 20 through 50.  A number will be drawn and placed in a seal envelope until after shooting is finished.  2 rounds will be shot - shooting discipline will change occasionally so that the same thing is not always being shot.  November 16th will be 25 trap and 25 wobble.

After all have finished shooting, the sealed envelope will be opened and the person shooting that score will win the pot.  In case of a tie those having shot the same score will have the option of a shoot off or dividing the pot equally.  All parties involved in the tie must agree on having a shoot off or dividing the pot.

If no one shoots the number of targets that has been drawn, all money remains in the pot and rolls over to the next Friday night shoot (2 weeks later).  We will post the amount in the pot on the website calendar in the event the pot rolls over.

We hope that this will generate some interest and that everyone will come out and participate!

January 25  - We finally have a winner!  Russell Havens shot a 23, which was the number drawn for the night and won himself the $215 that was in the pot.  Over the course of 5 weeks we have had 43 participants and numbers drawn ranging from 14 to 42.  Just goes to show you that everyone has an equal chance.  The Board is thinking about continuing Friday nights Skeet & Eat through the spring and possibly into the summer.  If you would like to see Friday nights continue please drop a quick email to the webmaster and let us know of your interest.
